Jethro Tull celebra sus 50 años con dos compilaciones
Los ingleses lanzarán en mayo un masivo compilatorio cronológico que resume medio siglo de presencia e influencia musical.
No debe ser fácil resumir 50 años de carrera, pero Jethro Tull no quiere hacerle el quite a la efeméride y prepara para mayo la celebración de sus bodas de oro con una selección de 50 canciones ordenadas cronológicamente que darán forma al compilatorio 50 to 50, que se editará oficialmente el próximo 25 de mayo vía el sello Parlophone.
El playlist, que fue seleccionado especialmente para la ocasión por el líder y flautista de la banda Ian Anderson, está ordenado cronológicamente para dar una idea de la evolución musical de los ingleses a lo largo de sus 21 discos de estudio.
Junto a esta pieza de colección, Jethro Tull editará también un compilatorio menos profundo pero no por eso menos efectivo. Se trata de 50th Anniversary Hits, el que contendrá 15 canciones, según ellos lo más granado de su longeva carrera.
Todo esto mientras la banda se encuentra realizando una gira por el hemisferio norte para celebrar el aniversario y trabaja, paralelamente, en un nuevo disco programado para 2019.
